Carolina Jasmine. Photo taken 3/13/01. This vine is a native to the southeast, and grows wild in the forests and on the roadsides. Mixed with the redbuds and wisteria, the roads sides are truly spectacular this time of year.
First iris of 2001. Unknown variety of bearded iris. A sweet visitor told me this variety was called 'Jacob'. Mouse over the photo to see a clump of them on 3/27/01.
Columbines about to burst into bloom on 3/13/01.
These columbines did not die back this winter in spite of the record cold Alabama experienced. Mouse over photo to see them in full bloom on 3/27/01.
These grape hyacinths have colonized my front lawn, and although the grass is begining to need mowing, I hesitate to mow until they finish blooming. Photo taken on 3/13/01.
American Redbud. Photo taken 3/13/01. Mouse over photo to view heavenly scented wisteria in my yard. I only wish you could smell it! If you've never smelled wisteria blooming, you don't know what you're missing!
I hope you will enjoy viewing some more of my garden scenes.
In loving memory of my Mom.
