I love Nascar racing, thanks to my oldest son Todd, who got me hooked on it. My all time favorite driver is Rusty Wallace. If you're a race fan, and was watching the race on Sunday, April 29th, 2001, then you saw Rusty drive his Miller Lite Ford, to victory lane. Todd and I went to Talledega on April 22nd, but didn't get to watch Rusty win that day. We enjoyed the race, never the less.
I am a huge country music fan, who loves the "traditional country". My favorite present day artist is Alan Jackson. I also like George Strait, Leanne Womack, Tracy Byrd, and others, to numerous to mention here. Patsy Cline is my favorite 'old country' singer.
The music playing, is "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. One of my favorites. This version was created just for me by my good friend, Ken Kennan.
The first, and most important man in my life is my wonderful husband, Sonny. He came into my life, and restored me. He is my best friend, my partner, my lover, and my one and only. We have a very special relationship, which only comes along once in a lifetime. I thank God for allowing Sonny to come into my life, when I needed him most. Visit his website "Gray Wolf's Den". I love you Sonny, with all my heart.
Pictured below, are three of my favorite men!!
"A little about me and my garden" My garden is located in south central Alabama, in zone 8. We have a long growing season, which enables me to indulge my gardening passion for 9 or 10 months of the year. It consists of approximately 3 acres, of which about half is now landscaped. (I'm slowly working on the other half! ) I grow lots of perennials, flowering shrubs and trees, as well as grasses and shrubs for foliage. Annuals are mixed into the perennial borders for fillers, and seasonal color. I also have 2 garden ponds. My first one brought me so much pleasure and joy, that I had to have another! The first is approximately 1000 gallons, and the second is approximately 3000 gallons, with a stream and gentle waterfall leading into it. My main garden interest is growing and hybridising daylilie. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 650 registered cultivars and hundreds of my own seedlings. Now a bit about myself. I am married to a wonderful man, Sonny, and combined, we have raised 10 children. All of them are grown now, except, our youngest daughter, who turned 13 on August 30, 2006. We also have 16 grand- children between the two of us. Some more of my interests, besides gardening, are, watching and feeding birds, watching butterflies, photography (especially my garden),traveling, meeting new people, Nascar racing, country music, and my pc. I hope you enjoy my site, and please visit often, as things change quickly in the garden.

This site is lovingly dedicated to the memory of my parents. I lost my Dad when I was only 13 years old, and my Mom in March of 1999. They are both greatly missed. Mom always said that I got my green thumb from my Dad. I don't know about the green thumb, but I did get his love for flowers and nature in general. Mom, Dad, I know you are both my "Guardian Angels" in heaven, and I want you to know, I still love and miss you so much. Your loving daughter, Jan
